Prince Edward Island Weather

The main influence on Prince Edward Island's weather is it's location. Most winds come from the west and southwest, so the province gets many of the weather systems that pass across the continent. However they are generally lessened by the fact that the island is so close to the Atlantic Ocean. Winters are fairly mild with average temperatures around -7 degrees Celsius and the summers are not too hot with temperatures around 18 degrees.
